Editorial Policy & Standards
Brindlefield is committed to publishing evidence-based, scientifically accurate animal husbandry journalism. This document outlines our research, peer-review, and correction workflows.
Evidence-Based Sourcing
Our authors reference primary scientific sources: peer-reviewed veterinary publications, standards from the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), guidance from the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC), and verified data from accredited animal shelters.
Mandatory Review Framework
All articles covering nutrition, toxicology, veterinary first aid, or behavioral modification go through a two-step review pipeline: initial draft research by a specialized animal writer, followed by technical verification by our Senior Editor, Eleanor Whitcombe, or an accredited veterinary reviewer.
Public Corrections Policy
When errors of fact or evolving scientific consensus are brought to our attention, we investigate immediately. Verified corrections are updated within the article body and recorded with a timestamped correction note.
Editorial Independence
Commercial sponsors have zero influence over our clinical guidance, product reviews, or nutritional assessments. We decline any commercial relationships that conflict with animal welfare ethics.
